Pharmacy Technician Instructor – Part Time VALLEY CAREER AND TECHNICAL CENTER

Minimum qualifications for the position:

1. Possess a valid Virginia teaching license or willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license.

2. Hold a current Virginia Pharmacy Technician License and have completed a minimum of 2 years of fulltime occupational experience within the last 4 years. A minimum of five years of work experience preferred.

3. Demonstrated ability to recruit students, and expand the program.

4. Demonstrated ability to implement the pharmacy technician curriculum and provide engaging and rigorous activities to prepare students to take and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

5. Demonstrated evidence of leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working with high school students, teachers, administration and the pharmacy community.

This position is currently an hourly position at a minimum of four (4) hours per day from 7:45- 11:45 AM and no more than 28 hours /week for 200 days.

Salary is based upon an individual’s experience as placed on the Augusta County Public School’s salary structure. Successful candidate must be able to start on or about July 24, 2019.
