Position Classification: N1, 8 hours, 260 days.

 

Shenandoah Valley Early Head Start is a regional program serving children birth to three in the communities of Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro. SVHS is a federal grant funded program with a long-standing history of success. Our mission is to provide a quality preschool program that forms partnerships among families, sites, and communities. The program emphasizes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development that is age appropriate for children while encouraging lifelong learning and empowering families through parent engagement.

 

The Early Head Start Primary Care Teacher is responsible for providing day to day care for 4 children (between birth and 36 months) in the Wayne Hills partnership site, supporting EHS performance standards as well as licensure standards, greeting the family daily and supporting transitions of the child and family, creating environments that are warm and inviting, documenting regular child observations online, supporting daily attendance, and providing 2 parent conferences and 2 home visits annually.

REQUIREMENTS 

This position is full time, 8 hours a day and 260 days each year; anticipated salary range starts at $30,515 based on experience and education. Salary and benefits are administered by Augusta County Schools. Equal Opportunity Employer.
